I have continued my articles on Turkish cinema, which I started with Yılmaz Güney’s film Umut in 1970, with complete dedication since then. Especially a new generation that came in the 90s enchanted me. Five men, one woman, one after another... Reha Erdem, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Yeşim Ustaoğlu, Zeki Demirkubuz, Derviş Zaim and Semih Kaplanoğlu, in order of their filmmaking adventure. Almost all of them have continued their efforts until today. Now I remember them all together. By describing them as My Beloved 6 Musketeers... And not only my criticisms, but also all the discussions their films have sparked... There is even an international English article in between... I hope my musketeers continue on this path.
