The awards for the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival

The awards for the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival were presented on October 31, 2026.

Derviş Zaim, Jury President of the National Feature Film Competition, stated that cinema is not merely a form of entertainment, but also plays a significant role in bringing social issues to light. Zaim remarked:

“Cinema is not just a tool for entertainment; it is a powerful medium that reflects social phenomena, engages with pressing concerns, and possesses the capacity to mobilize the masses. At the 63rd Antalya Film Festival, we watched films that sought to understand themselves and the public in the face of social challenges, while experimenting with diverse narrative styles. As a jury, we are delighted to have encountered films that make the invisible visible, dismantle prejudices, and bring to the screen the very traumas society fears confronting—thereby fostering a sense of collective reckoning and healing. Cinema does not solve problems overnight as if by the wave of a magic wand; rather, it cultivates awareness, shapes public opinion, enhances the capacity for empathy, and lays an intellectual and emotional foundation that can serve as a guide for people.”

In the competition, for which Derviş Zaim served as Jury President, the jury members included Aylin Zoi Tinel, Elif Demoğlu, Fatih Artman, Meryem Uzerli, Sırma Bradley, and Gökhan Kırdar.
