His previous works, "Boran" and "Silent Death", both won numerous awards and have been shown at film festivals worldwide. His documentary "Breath", has been shown everywhere from Japan to Cuba. Apart from filming, he also lectures at universities and cultural organizations in Turkey. "My Marlon and Brando (Gitmek)", his first feature film, was selected for Cinemart 2006 and IFP No Borders in New York in 2006.
